Angelridge is a small hobby farm located 1hr 20min west of Sudbury ON. We have been dedicated to the Rhodesian Ridgeback since 1995. Our hard work and dedication has surrounded us with many happy healthy truly amazing companions. We wish to continue to share our love of this breed. All our dogs and puppies are family raised and completely socialized with children. Our journey with Rhodesian Ridgebacks have brought us through all aspects of the dog world from show dogs, to therapy dogs, to herding, to agility and obedience. We also own our own grooming and pet supply store.
We ensure all our breeding dogs have passed all their health clearances through OFA, click HERE to visit. We test all our dogs for hip and elbow dysplasia, any eye disorders, thyroid problems, cardiac problems and degenerative myelopathy. A guarantee of healthy parents and ancestry is a true gift to a new puppy and family to love it.
Angelridge guarantees all our dog's temperaments to be stable, friendly and loveable. Dating back to 1988, our years of obedience training and teaching obedience classes have given us the experience to ensure the right puppy or dog is placed and matched with the right family. We have fancied this breed for years and realize this is not the breed for everyone and make sure each puppy or dog go to a family that understands this magnificent breed. We believe in crate training and positive motivational training with the recommendation of obedience classes.
All puppies/dogs leave either pre spayed or neutered or on a schedule to be spayed or neutered. We believe that with the dedication of wonderful breeders that this breed has been protected and we wish to continue this mission. We are very welcoming of any homes that wish to share our fancy of showing and continuing our breeding program under our guidance.
Angelridge has been very successful over the years in the show ring. We have been awarded many group placings, puppy in group awards, and puppy in specialty awards. Our dogs have held many obedience, rally and agility titles over the years including a high in trial, top ridgeback in Canada in 2002 and #4 hound in Canada in obedience. We believe in the versatility of this breed.
